About me
Ever since I could read. But I've only been working on my book for two years.
Because it's fun.
With 'Papyrus Author 10' and Google Docs. The keyboard is a
ROCCAT® Vulcan 122 AIMO with Titan Tactile Switches
32 years young and upwards.
I write the book, design the cover and the website, do the marketing and contact the publishers to no avail. My father (himself an author) and my girlfriend do the editing. So far.
About the book
The word means 'decrepitude', which wouldn't be such a cool title.
The book is narrated in the present tense from the first-person perspective. This narrative form is not considered standard in German-speaking countries and can therefore be irritating at first. The writing style is not too complicated and depends on how often Klio, the praising one, had blessed me.
There is no direct target audience, but I don't think my book is really suitable for senior citizens or some members of the older generations. If the sentence "What's the point of trees if you can't even piss on them?" offends you personally, with or without context, then I wouldn't recommend Dereliction. Instead, I would refer you to more valuable reading such as "FUCK - The ultimate swearing and swearing coloring book for adults" to blow off steam.
The book is for anyone who understands that people in a post-apocalyptic world do not speak through a flower filter, and that such a world can be violent and sad. But above all, the book is for anyone who can still find humor, friendship and hope even in the most difficult of times.
This answer is still a work in progress, but at the moment I'm aiming for self-publishing.

If the book is well received, that would be the plan. I enjoy writing, but it's also a lot of work and I'll probably need one or two laurels for motivation.
